ASCII art, pixel animations, and simple GIFs that fit the Kryoto monochrome aesthetic. Think bold lines, high contrast, and clean compositions — nothing too busy or colourful.

Don't have ASCII art? No problem — we can convert your art or GIF into ASCII for you. Just send us what you have and we will handle the transformation.

Your work could end up on a 404 page, the footer, a game detail page, or even the homepage. Every accepted piece gets credited in the changelog.

• Transparent background. Your GIF or image must have a transparent background — we overlay it on different page backgrounds and solid colours will not work.
• Monochrome or near-monochrome. Stick to black, white, and shades of grey. The site uses a single accent colour in limited spots, and we want your art to fit in anywhere.
• Small file size. Keep it under 200 KB — these are decorative accents, not hero images.
• Right dimensions. ASCII frames work best at narrow widths (under 100 characters per row). For GIFs, anything wider than 400px will be scaled down.

Logo submissions are welcome, but with one rule: fan-art of Kryoto only. No promotional content, brand marks, or third-party logos — this is a space for celebrating Kryoto, not advertising something else.

All animations on the site run at 8 frames per second by default. If you are creating a GIF or ASCII frame sequence, aim for that frame rate — it is what visitors will see. We can adjust the playback speed on our side if your source material runs at a different rate; just let us know.

Send your art or GIF to [email protected]. Attach the file (or a link if it is large) and include:

• Your name or handle (for credit)
• Where you would like it to appear — or leave it to us to find the best spot
• Any notes about the frame rate, looping behaviour, or intent

We review everything that comes in. If it fits, we will reply within a few days and let you know when it goes live.
